Jharkhand cabinet nod to commission on OBC quota in civic bodies; 3960 posts for upgraded schools

The Jharkhand Cabinet today approved the urban development department's proposal to set up a dedicated committee for reservation of backward classes in the civic body. With the commission's approval, the way was paved for the civic body elections to be held in the state from April 28 on the BC reservation issue.

After the government meeting, Cabinet Secretary for Coordination Vandana Dadel informed the media. She also informed about another 42 proposals that the cabinet approved.

Among the important proposals approved were Rs 25.02 crore for a college at Gola in Ramgarh district under Vinoba Bhave University (VBU), Arogyam Vishwavidyalaya Bill, extension of period for implementation of Sahid Gram Vikas Yojna to 2025-26.

Other approved proposals included Rs 307.44 crore for setting up a 300-bed PPP hospital in Mahagama, raising stamp duty to Rs 30 from Rs 15 collected under the Advocates Social Security Act, sanctioning 1,890 teaching posts and 2,079 non-teaching posts for modernized schools. across the state, Rs one lakh to each of the 6890 Anganwadi centers for modernization and Rs 75 crore for modernization of Ayush centres.

Other approved proposals included a smartphone worth up to Rs 8,000 for each Poshan Sakhi, establishment of 27 police and 17 traffic posts during the Shravani mela from July 2 to July 29, inclusion of four schools for school education and literacy teachers. higher education department and technical department, JHALSA trainer's honorarium, 2.75 acres for Apollo Hospital in Namkum, Rs 6.87 crore for Deoghar Sadar Hospital after preparation of Shravni Mela and Rs 2 crore for expenses incurred in shifting Jharkhand High Court from old building to new buildings.

Other approved proposals included revision of pension of judicial officers, night shift for women in factories, Rs 53.44 crore for construction of CUJ approach road besides construction of road at Latehar, Jamtara and press order for Indian Security Press, Nashik, on nomination for hologram printing for Excise and Prohibition Department.
